A diagnosis of leukemia changes everything. But for many patients across Europe, one of the first practical crises is not the treatment itself. It is getting there.

Specialized leukemia treatment centres are rarely around the corner. Patients in active treatment travel to hospital two, three, sometimes four times a month. That is train tickets, local transport, and hours of travel, repeated across an entire year of treatment. For someone who has lost their income because illness made working impossible, even a €50 train ticket becomes a decision.

Why This Cause Needs Funding

Although the foundation is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, covering travel costs for patients requires real money. We focus only on what is essential: getting the patient to hospital and back home safely.

Your donation funds:

1. Budget return train tickets, booked in advance, for each hospital visit across Europe
2. Local public transport at the destination, from the station to the treatment centre
3. Practical support when a journey needs to be rescheduled around a patient's condition
4. A small reserve for patients whose treatment schedule intensifies unexpectedly

Our goal of €4,500 is based on supporting 3 leukemia patients through a full year of hospital travel. We keep costs as low as possible: a budget return train ticket across Europe averages €25, and local transport adds roughly €10 per visit. At two visits per month, that comes to €1,440 per patient per year. Across 3 patients, that is €4,320. The remaining €180 covers rescheduling and unexpected changes to treatment calendars.
